Hello Everyone! Spring is here!

Warmer weather, flowers blooming, birds singing, all signs it’s time to venture outside and smell the fresh air. I love Spring! Time to work in the garden, do some hiking, enjoy nature, and have fun with the family outside.
My husband and I are planting and mulching. We are hoping everything will be looking beautiful by summer. Our son is doing the same thing. He has lots of property and lots of room. He is planting fruit trees and flowers galore. He is also mulching around his trees. He has so many trees he is beginning to complain about the work and the cost of all the mulch. He’s a rookie at this but when he is done his place will look beautiful! All summer long he can relax in a comfortable lawn chair and truly enjoy the fruits of his labor.
This morning when my husband woke he went outside to check on the plants he just planted the day before. He was very disappointed when he found the deer had taken the liberty to feast off one of his hanging baskets. The beautiful white flowers had been eaten off. Not one petal was left. Well that’s part of nature is it not! It happens pretty often. I can only imagine what might happen at my son’s property. He lives in front of a wooded area. The deer travel through his property consistently and frequently. The flowers and garden’s will be like a delicious smorgasbord to the hungry deer. He’s going to need some very effective deer repellents. If anyone knows of a truly effective repellent feel free to let me know and I will pass it on to him. Thank you in advance. It looks like my husband and I are going to need some of that repellent also.
I also enjoy biking or just riding around in my car and seeing what other people do to enhance the look of their own properties. Some people are very creative. They come up with some great ideas! I remember when we were living in our last house. We actually had people who were driving by stop in and ask us if they could walk around and check out our flowers. We enjoyed their compliments. My husband did most of the work. He felt great that others enjoyed his hard work. Have a great day everyone!
